Saving Without Sacrificing Brand Loyalty
As a value shopper, my demand for brand-specific products is elastic. I easily switch brands (or to private label) in search of the best price. However, for certain items like infant formula, diapers, cosmetics, razors, and condiments, I am brand loyal. Even though my demand for these is somewhat price inelastic, I do find ways of saving on these items and finding the cheapest price through coupons, samples, and discount retailers. How? Toys That Come With Hidden Costs
As a parent, I find myself toy shopping for Christmas, my children's birthdays, or gifts. Price plays a role in my toy purchasing decision, however, many toys and games, some inexpensive and some even free, have hidden costs that are much higher than their sticker price.
